6.29 The Reception with Ambassadors to the Middle East

On June 29th, 2023, the Middle East Institute of Japan (MEIJ) hosted Japanese Ambassadors to the Middle East and North African region to “the Reception with Ambassadors to the Middle East” at Hikari Room, Imperial Hotel. It welcomed more than 200 guests including the Ambassadors, members of the MEIJ as well as those who are yet to become a member of MEIJ .
To start the reception, Mr. Mikio Sasaki, the Chairperson of the MEIJ, delivered a welcome speech.
Following this, on behalf of the Ambassadors present, H.E. Mr. Masayuki Miyamoto, the Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, delivered a speech.
A toast was given for this special occasion by Mr. Akitaka Saiki, the President of the MEIJ.
The moderator was Mr. Kiyoshi Asako, the Vice President of the MEIJ.
At this reception, the Ambassadors stationed in Middle Eastern countries were surrounded by participants, who engaged in lively exchanges and opinions.
