2023.08 Field trip to Iran
In late August 2023, as part of the project “The Role of Japan’s Diplomacy in the Middle East/Eurasia,” Mr. Kenta Aoki, Executive Research Fellow of MEIJ, visited Iran and exchanged views with experts in the capital Tehran on the status of Iran’s connectivity strategy and regional affairs. Besides, the visitor travelled to Chabahar Free Zone in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, where he had a meeting with the authorities, and toured the port as well as the city center.
